Interesting light, setting and lovely low angle. Very nice image.
I think this is a curlew.

Thanks Sidarth, I believe you are right about this being a curlew.
They both have the long pinkish bills, but have to remember the curlew's is curved down, and the godwit's is straighter.

Hi Brendan, great perspective here! Love the wave coming in, the walking pose and feeding behavior.

This is lovely. My favorite thing about this shot is the light and the foamy water. Great low angle and feeding pose.

Brendon, I like how the bird pops from the dark waves...good exposure on the whites as well. details, pose...very nice. With te bird bent this way, I'd have a little more room below and less above....if you have. Or...if there are distractions above, then just take a little off the top.

    This is very nice Brendan.
The angle and DOF is really good.
    Just enough foam in focus.
Agree on just a bit more room below, but I would not take any off the top.

very nice, repost is an improvement. Did you also get one with the head parallel to the back of the camera?

Brendan, excellent low angle here, and I like feeding pose. Good detail all round, and your repost does work much better.

    Brendan,
thank you for showing this excellent image.
For me, as an European, who is not familar with this species, the bird looks more like a curlew. The bill is curved downwards as in all curlews, whereas the bill of the Marbled godwit should be curved upwards. Please let me know if I am wrong.
Edit: Sorry, I haven't read Sidarth's reply when writing this comment.

Wonderful LB Curlew shot. Great low angle. Love the foamy water, light, pose; and repost helps the comp. Nice work on the BG.

Very good shot, nice low angle, which always make for an interesting composition, and further I really like the depth of field. Just enough detail in the foam but fades into a blur, well done.
