Simply sweeeet Sid. Cool flying posture, captured in good light, and what a lovely complimentary BG. You pretty much nailed this one. Well done.

    Sid:

Excellent light, BG, angle in frame and slight bank, all good.

A few of the details, although very well illuminated, seem a bit soft to me. Was this much of a crop? Shutter speed should have been fine.

    Cheers

Nice light, great pose, and super light and BG. I wouldn't mind the subject placed a little higher in the frame.

Great that you were able to find some time for some photography!

Love, love , love the light. Wing position is great .Tack sharp (as usual) The earth tones really make the image though. A keeper for sure,

    Hi Randy,
    It's >80%.
There was a very small area of desirable bg patch I wanted a bird against. The stars aligned and I got this one flying against it. Got 3 frames against that bg (thanks to the 1D4). This one is sharp RAW but admittedly not the sharpest of the lot. I picked it because it had the best posture.
Can't wait for more free time and for more ducks to arrive.
In the mean time, I'll revisit the RAW and see if I can do a better job creating the output JPEG. Thanks for the feedback.

    Daniel,

Indeed, looks better moved up a bit. Thanks!
