    This is an attempt to isolate the bird by using both blurred foreground and background together. There is a name for this technique but I can't remember it.

    All comments and critics welcome.

    I think it looks pretty nice! You need a bit more contrast, try levels and reset your white point with the right slider. It brings up the brightness nicely and the image pops more.

    Nice idea!!!

    The blurred foreground with an out of focus element is called cramming. You did well here, very pleasing.

    Thanks very much Fabs for the name of the technique. Two or three weeks ago, you talked about this technique in one of your posts. I've spent more than one hour searching your post but couldn't find it !
