Another from the gull session with Studebaker in Conneaut, Ohio, about 3 weeks ago. Handheld standing next to a family that was feeding the gulls.
    The light was really wonderful.

Some crop, S/H work in Photoshop, sharpening.

I hope you like it. I welcome all comments and critiques. Thank you for looking!

Sweet pose here Melissa! The clouds are very nice, love to see them instead of just a blue sky. The almost side lighting has given the gull a nice 3D quality. Love the shadow on his right wing. Flared tail is sweet, exposure looks good with great detail. Very very nice!

Love the POV of this, Melissa, great pose with tail flare, and very nice sweet light. Agree it does have a nice 3D quality, and a nice feeling of floating on air. Wondering if upper white part of its left wing is too smooth, or just a result from how the light is hitting it. Very nicely composed, especially HH.

Hi Melissa, I far prefer this to your previous post - just love the perspective and flight posture. The gull pops so well from the sky BG, which creates a great 3D effect here. I really like the overall light and colours too.
