    500IS x2= 1000mm with 1.6 crop == 1600mm equivalent. shot from the back of a pickup truck.

    Great find, I'd love to see this species sometime. I like the pose and eye contact but would go for a wider crop and sharpen the bird a bit more.

    Really like these guys, nice pose and HA is perfect. Axel mentioned some good points.
    These birds are really amazing, they can tackle prey much bigger then themselves, like doves, which they chase down from a perch like this. Also this is a naturally occuring bird and not from a reintroduced population I believe.
