    Default Inca Tern IV (PERU)

    Well,
    i thought i wasnt going to put more of these series but found this one that i like a lot..



    Nikon D300s / Nikkor 28-70mm F2.8 @F5 65mm / ISO400 / 1/400 / Sb600 Fill Flash manual mode 1/8 / Manual Exposure / Hand Held
    almost Full Frame

    Would like to hear all your comments & Critiques in order to improve.

    I like this eye-level perspective better than the first two you had...I didn't think it was possible without risking a dive in the sea but looks like you had some access to go lower Nice calling pose, just wish you had a better HA here. If possible I would have also backed up and used a longer lens to help render the BG smoother as it is a little distracting as is.

    A great spot you have there...

    There are some areas where you can go lower.. but you have to litereally be grabing with one arm to the security bar, otherwise.. youre gonna end in the cold water..
    I did the BKGR so intentionally, because all my tern photos have smooth BKGR and wanted some with more habitat.
    maybe a 70-200 would have been perfect but the only lens i own is the 300mm F4 AFS.. this wide angle was from a friend.

    this bird is so beautiful...incredible plumage.

    agree with Daniel's critique....you can sharpen the bird a bit more I feel. I like the open bill a lot as well.
