    Default Angelic Glaucous-winged Gull

Another one from Homer IPT... we were on a sandbar with fresh snow and Bald Eagles sitting at a distance. As we placed few fish bait to get them come close, the gulls started showing up. With reflection from the snow, the gulls appeared almost angelic. Here is one taken with evaluative metering +3 2/3 stops off the sky just as Artie had suggested. For processing, used adjustment layer for white to make it hk and selectively applied curves on the eye and bill. Cropped to focus more on the head and applied usm on the final web version.

I like what you did with this. The cropping and the high key look are both very effective. The tail looks so nice I wish it were very faintly outlined/detailed, but that's not a big deal. The image is great the way it is.

Love the rules of thirds crop and yes, the angelic look. And love those trailing feet and the curious look. I would say that this is in the box enough for Avian but I do not want to get Lady D mad at me so I will refrain . This one is a winner!

Indranil, Another vote for an avian post. Great job with the composition and the exposure! I do see some color around the edges of the tail that I may try to clean up. Love this one!!

Real nice composition, Indranil, love the diagonal, head angle, and white BG. Nice work!
