A note from Hilary,
I was overwhelmed and feel very humbled by this. Hopefully it is another step along the route to my fine art goals.
I just want to say again how inspiring the team at OOTB has been with all my fine art compositions and it has been a wonderfully warm and creative environment.
Mazel tov on all counts! Do you have a link to the competition results???

Thank you everyone, thanks Denise for posting this. I'll link to the threads which appeared on BPN over the weekend. Just been celebrating with my fine art printer as he had to put up with a lot of tweaking, reprinting, testing because I'm a bit fussy.
Artie, I'll link to the results page as soon as they finish the uploads. At the moment the Awards council members are busy taking down all the judging paraphernalia and preparing all the prints for the exhibition which will open soon. It is a bit slower because it is judged on physical prints rather than online.
Again, I am very grateful for all the wonderful critiquing and support I've received over the years. You are a wonderful lot of talented, creative, generous people … and I tell everyone of my professional photography friends who photograph in anything Nature related to join.
Congratulations, Hilary! That is great news, I also look forward to the links. I keep telling people about your beautiful fine art photography, but can only find just a few samples online. Cheers!
Thank you everyone, I have been told that the official announcement will be uploaded to the AIPP website next week so can't link until then. However, I have found all the links to the critiques which may interest some of you. I made some changes on some of the images, but I need to say that they all were printed on fine art paper and it does effect the final image which is presented to the judges, so the images you see on screen are of necessity different.
I have also attached a very small thumbnail of all 8 together, but please don't judge the quality based on the little file!
Sentinels, entered in Landscape - scored a Gold. Please note that I totally re processed this file from RAW several times and ended up with a b&w with a grainier look. This print won the highest scoring monochrome image over all the categories. The critiquing thread photo bares little resemblance to the final image (probably a good thing!). http://www.birdphotographers.net/forums/showthread.php/79275-Gathering-storm?highlight=
Thanks Ofer, appreciate your comments. I have just received notification that I won 3 silvers and 1 bronze in the recently judge International Loupe Awards (2 images from above + 2 others) so I have had a great couple of weeks. Now it is back to boring old work......
"Nature Interpreted" - Photography begins with your mind and eyes, and ends with an image representing your vision and your reality of the captured scene; photography exceeds the camera sensor's limitations. Capturing and Processing landscapes and seascapes allows me to express my vision and reality of Nature.
Mazel tov again and thanks for posting the links. I hang out in OOTB a bit; cannot believe I did not see any of them! My fave is the vertical elephant bits composite.
