    Lovely pose with his golden slipper showing. You might brighten him up a bit, but it might risk losing that pre-dawn look that you've captured. I like the early morning light on the water.

    I like the overall concept here, but just a bit dark for me. There is a lot of noise in the image, so boosting the exposure won't work well, but I thought the whites could be brought up a bit, because they don't show as much noise as the darks.

    This could be tweaked to your taste, but I think it maintains the feel but helps define the bird a bit more. I used a screen blend mode painted in to taste on the bird and just a sliver on the foreground water. The noise is still very noticeable in the darks and I would consider some noise reduction if not already done.

    Thanks Bill & Randy. Yes, there is a lot of noise. I did filter for that, but I didn't want to soften the image too much. I will try brightening the subject, but I don't want it to look too over brightened.
