Excellent, and yes the raised foot does add to the image. The only thing that I would do is lighten the small dark area located next to the bottom of the perch. Love the subtle colouring on the wing.

Cool bird and perch. The raised foot gives the image that little something extra. I might give the eye a bit more life by dodging the midtones that make up the reflection in the eye.

Very elegant, the raised foot makes this a very special image. I like the subdued lighting it gives the colors a richer feel.

Wonderful shot. Great pose and perfect head angle. Terrific BG, comp. Doug makes a good point about the eye.

Another winner as noted above. Pointing the camera just a bit to our left would have left a bit more room behind the bird.

What a beautiful bird and image. I love the perfect pose and lifted foot, the choice of vertical, and the colors and lovely BG. Killer image.

Very beautiful bird! I like the "look back" pose and the raised foot. Sweet light and a nice blured background. TFS

What an elegant pose....and you got the bird nicely on top of that mound. shooting angle, exposure, HA....excellent all around.

Did you blur the BG a bit in post? does seem that way but I might be wrong.

    Kaustubh,

I haven't done any blurring on the BG. But ran NR (NeatImage) once on BG.
