    Default Mara in the Rain

A huge cloud cover and a flash rain , combined with a very dull atmosphere gave me this near sepia colour . The image on the back of the camera took me by surprise when I saw almost no colour on it .

Torrential rains and the lovely acaia tree made this one , one of the most memorable on that trip !!!

    Camera : 1D MK III
    Lens : 600mm f4 IS
    Aperture : f8
    Shutters : 1/200
    Speed : ISO 800

    Cheers,
    Rakesh

This turned out great, Rakesh! Nice mood & composition. Really like the natural sepia tone, and the flash rain really gives a nice texture to it. Love the shape of that tree, and the rain seems to have acted as kind of filter to lighten and separate it more from the darker silhouette of the heard. Well done!

Top shot Rakesh, so fresh and different, and good to see how you took advantage of the conditions. Well done with this one.

Rakesh - nice to see something very different. Well seen and captured. The rain really makes this shot.

Love everything about this one (as mentioned above) except for the placement of the tree.... I would have loved the tree more to our right.

Fabulous image Rakesh - so moody and "arty" . I like the subdued tones too.
I have to agree with Artie on the tree being more to the RHS in an ideal world...but would be stoked if this was in my gallery...
