Probably a little to big even for a Maribou Taken in Chikwenya concession, Zimbabwe, 14th September 2011 EIS 1D MkIV 500nn F4 IS hand-held from open game viewing vehicle F7.1, ISO 400, 1/1600
Ken: Looks like the goose isn't too certain of the Maribous intentions either, and is leaving! The subject is sharp and well exposed. I like the placement of objects in the frame. Wish the far shore didn't cut through his head, as it makes the head less distinct to my eye. Cheers Randy

Ken, good walking pose, and you have brought out the colours and sharpness very well. I dont think anything will bother an egyptian goose. On my recent trip to kruger, I managed a few images of a Marabou in a dry river bed.
Real nice shot. Very interesting looking bird. I like the comp and walking pose. Well done.
Thanks everybody for your kind comments, much appreciated. What I really like about this capture is the "sly" look in the Maribou's eye. Randy, I agree the intersection is a bit of a nuisance and certainly makes a change from "pesky grass"
What an interesting looking bird, Ken, nice pose, and good comp, considering HH from vehicle.
