    This was taken in Northern Kruger National Park in September this year. This Nyala is a very good specimen and was taken whilst walking down a track with its natural habitat forming the BG.

    Pieter,

    It is nearly always very difficult to capture a really special image of one of these magnificent animals as they are either in the trees or with a not very helpful BG as here.

    You obviously had quite harsh light for this capture, I might try to reduce the contrast a lilttle.

    What a beautiful looking creature, good pose & HA, harsh light and BG were a challenge here, good suggestion above.

    Nice to get one of these walking with head up rather than grazing. Good points above about the harsh light and contrast.

    Brendan and Rachel - Thank you for your feedback. Yes, the light is really a problem, one has to be out very early in the morning and hope to find the animals before the light becomes a problem.
