From a trip yesterday. I used Pixel Bender and Topaz Clean.

Sorry I haven't been around much, it's been a busy week but I did sneak out with a friend on a photo safari into the country yesterday and found some interesting and colorful scenes and flowers.

Judy, Nice to see you back, you've been missed. I like the bright lively colors and the amount of PB seems just right.

Thanks Denise! I love those colorful flowers but I don't know the name. May be a type of sunflower.

Judy, this is gorgeous. Wow. I like the combination of colors, and the PB in the background is just right.

My wife identified the flower as a gaillardia, which is a member of the sunflower family.

Hey Judy, I really like how this one came out...nice work with the filters!
It's interesting that I would usually like a nice clean BG on a shot like this but with the right amount of manipulation with filters, the busy BG adds instead of detracts.

Judy, Dennis is right the name is Gaillardia, but more commonly called Blanket Flower.

Thanks everyone for the comments and the ID of the flower. They are fairly common around here and I even grew some a long time ago. I thought it was in the sunflower family.

Judy, it's nice to see you posting again. I like the effect from PB
