Lovely portrait Mark with a great oof bg, just 2 small issues easily fixed, i find the image a little bright and a bit heavy on the sharpening but like i said easily fixed

I like the light and the loverly lady. Agree that a bit darker overall and a bit less sharpening would be ideal.

Hard to see a difference in the sharpening. What did you do in Curves? I like the less saturated ears and the more open look in the first image. I guess that it is a case of be careful what you wish for
.

The repost is to my eyes at least less sharp, I have just played around in levels but cannot seem to get what I think is there, using the JPEG does not really help.
I am convinced that there must be a great image in the RAW
