Late morning light (10:15 AM - end of November). Canon 1DsMII, 600mm f/4, ISO 200, f/4, 1/4000. POV was face down in the sand, handholding the 600mm. Sun at my back.

Great looking Skimmer image. My only suggestion would be less room at the top - crop where the blue starts. Left, right and bottom are right for me. Detail in the whites and blacks, nice tonal range and sharpness complete the package.
Hi Bob,
This is a nice profile shot. I wish the water was flat. You did well with the exposure.
Bob, a fine image. I like Amoruso's idea of the crop. Good exposure and sharpness and yes, wish the water was still, but hey... :)
Great exposure control, Bob!
empty space did not bother me that much. Very nice profile image.
I like it a lot Bob !!!! Excellent pose and feather detail I like the crop suggestions but they are personal taste Very fine image !!!!
btw please send me a PM I would like to change your profile to your real name Thanks
Love the color (although maybe a little over saturated). I suspect there is some catchlight in the full res file but here, the eye could use a little more snap.
good pose and light - the bird looks a bit funny with this big beak ;)
Very nice image, Bob! I like the pose and color. I agree with the others about the crop.
