    Nice looking bird and a nice perch.
    I would move the bird a bit to the right so it is not centered and
    soften it just a bit. The focus is really good but it seems a bit oversharpened.
    Nice BG. A head turn would have been nice but you take what you can get.

    Good comments by Dan. Lovely BG but decentring to the right would help comp. Focus sharp but does look oversharpened for presentation. A little fillflash may be an option to add a bit more detail to the dark area and a catchlight to the eye.

    Real nice shot. Lovely background, the pose and head angle are better in the second pic. Since the second pic you posted has a better head angle I think a vertical crop would be better. A crop like the original,but just a little more room on the left.
