Ken Watkins' fine image of an adult has reminded me this shot from Senegal. In West Africa these antelopes usually live in forests, which makes hard to get a clean shot. This young one gave me about two seconds before darting into the bush. Those ears...

You did well given the quick sighting. Nice pose and sharpness. The ears are too funny. I'd prefer that the legs weren't chopped, is this full frame? Maybe more of a horizontal crop though it might be too square for some.

What an awesome sighting, Ignacio! This must be the first proper image I've seen of a Roan calf.
You did well to get a clear shot it would seem. I would be tempted to crop for a tighter vertical portrait and try and remove the 'chopped' legs

Excellent, and nice pose, especially getting the ears! I might try cloning out that twig that seems to rise from its head, but of course getting this shot without branches IN FRONT of the antelope is quite an accomplishment!

Thanks Rachel. This IS full frame - I was mostly after birds with my 800, and the antelope just showed up too close...
