Hello everyone. Well the gulls are starting to come back. I have a very poor keep rate for flight shots, but I think this one came out ok.
C&C welcomed and encouraged.
Camera - Nikon 300s, Lense - Nikon 200-400 w/1.4 tc, Exposure - 1/1000, Aperture - F8, ISO - 250, Focal Length - 370mm, Metering - Multi Segment, Manual.
Very nice image, with a lot of fine detail. Ofer, I'm not sure what you mean about soft light. The shadows cast by the body and the wing are very sharp. What makes the great detail is the phase angle which looks to be 20 to 30 degrees. Great head angle too.
Robert, I feel this came out more than ok - well captured, and well done. Well placed in the frame, good all round exposure, sharp, and just love the softer colours in the BG.
Nice image, looks like it is glidingin for a landing. I especially like the blues in the water. Just a bit noisy under the wings, especially for such low ISO...did you need to lighten under there? Nothing major...
