Shot this last April. I wish the water didn't have the yuck but I cleaned up what i could to make the reflection yuck make sense. I also cropped out the green grassy bg to bring more attention to the gull

Nice shot Cheryl. Would crop a bit tighter.

    Cheryl:

Good shooting angle, like the calling pose, sharpness and exposure, effective reflection.

    Prefer the repost.

    Cheers

Repost works the best. Love that still water, calling pose and the breeding plumage.

Hi Cheryl, good perspective, and I like the leaning pose, well timed to get the open beak. Your repost does look better, and the reflection is near to perfect. An opportunity well used, and Im sure you captured quite a few here.

Really like the graphic quality of this, Cheryl. Repost definitely better. Great pose and colors. Reflection is awesome.

Perfect crop on the repost. I like the calling pose. Too bad there was a bit of smudging on the reflection!

I'm planning to spend a few days in Florida in April and looking forward to photographing these guys in their breeding plumage like this one here.

Lovely bird. Nice head angle and calling pose. Sharpness is good. A mirror-like reflection would have taken this shot to the next level, but still very nice as presented.
