    Hi Oscar !!!

This one doesn't work for me The bird itself is dark particularly the tail Too many grasses overlapping without a pattern Bird position not ideal so it makes a acquard composition There is lots of grass covering the bird ...... and the head angle is a bit off !!!! ......... you killed this one Oscar :D:):)

You will have lots of opportunities for these guys Before pushing the shutter get in a good position and wait for the bg Most of the ones you find there is nothing you could do Best to pass them up When you find one worked it !!!!

did you have the camera on the tripod? without VR, it is tough to get tack sharp pics at 500mm handheld. i worked on it a bit. recropped to remove the dead space to the left. i wanted to include the grass on the right. liked the shape. sharpened the bird a bit, added a touch of contrast and warmed it up.

    hope you like it.

    Hey Oscar,
Your bird is not sharp, and the main thing that kills this composition is the reeds covering the bird. I agree with Harold about cropping a little more to the left of the frame. The background and foreground looks too busy...
