Default Wood Ducks at North Chagrin

This Wood Duck image is from a couple weeks ago at North Chagrin Reservation. Added a slight bit of canvas on the left had side to give his back end more room. Thanks for looking, and C & C always welcome.

    Josh:

Lovely water, sharp, well exposed, good call on canvas extension, and well done.

Only minor crit. would be no purple cheek patch ( I have hundreds of really nice shots from that day without the patch too!), and perhaps the slightly hunkered down head position, not as flattering as possible.

    Cheers

Josh, cool and lazy swimming pose, with a good HA. I like the overall detail and colours, with subtle use of fill flash. Exquisite colour to the water, and what a pity there were ripples at time of capture through the reflection. Congrats on a fine capture.

    Josh,
Magical water and light, excellent use of fill flash, You could teach a course on its use. The head angle and composition are excellent, superb job on adding the canvas. Exposure is excellent.. As hard as I try I cannot find anything I would want to change... excellent job!!!

What a killer capture with those absolutely gorgeous colors, Josh. It actually doesn't bother me at all on this one that there is no purple cheek patch. Really well done!

Beautiful color Josh, the pose does looked squished, but they look this way at times.
Nice exposure, they are hard to do right and yours looks great.

Stunning image Josh. Love that water and reflection, IMO there's just the right amount of ripples, not enough to completely distort the reflection but enough to add interest with the fall colors.

Beautiful. I just love the streaming patterns thruout the water and the explosive colors as well.
