    Jonathan:

Sharp, well exposed, nice feather detail, nicely scaled perch with lichens, pleasant BG with good look back pose.

I might move him a bit higher in the frame by a modest crop form top. Just personal preference here.

    Cheers

Very handsome sparrow portrait. Love the pose, dark tones, perch. Agree a bit off the top wouldn't hurt, but nice as posted.

Nice pose, BG, perch, details. There is a faint large pale OOF circle touching the bird's front...I've seen that circle on your previous image too but didn't comment on it then...whatever is causins this you should go and physically prune it out if possible. I also agree with a small crop from above. Other than that, fantastic image of a species that is rather maligned here in North America. Well done.

    Jonathan,
A common species and a Bird I dont particularly like due to there Bluebird bird box endeavors. Species aside I like your image allot, the pose displays the bird nicely and is very well exposed, I like the spot lighting effect on the center of the bird, whether done in post or at time of capture I like it. It did however emphasis the pale circle in the BG Daniel mentioned, I would either remove that from the background as in pruning or, perhaps feather clone and blend it into the Bg so it doesn't distract. Also I like the recrop suggestions as well. A fine image Indeed!

Jonathan, one of your best IMO. The angle shows of the detail and colours nicely, and I really like the BG colours too. I agree moving the sparrow higher in the frame will complete a fine image.

Thanks for the C& C everyone much appreciated. I have to confess I deliberately left the the blue halo in there - I didn't think you would like it but I didn't think it was doing much harm

Nice Jonathan, and I like House sparrows.
I think stopping down a bit if you could to get the tail in focus would improve it,
but that is all, the halo doesn't bother me, maybe just smooth it out a bit.
    Nice job.
