    took this image at the weekend,very over cast,then a bright cloud came over,and I managed this,on its beak,is a reflection and not an halo,cropped,a little bit of sharpening,and lightening.cannon 7D,400mm prime lens,1/200s,f/5.6,+1/3 ex,iso400,tripod.comments good or bad,thanks.

    Chris, Very nice details on the dipper. The environment looks nice, I do see a little noise in the top but it doesn't take from the image IMO.

    Very good image of this hard to approach and hard to expose correctly bird. Great detail. Perhaps a bit of a head turn towards you would be nice but I like it as presented. Thanks for sharing this.
