Morkel,
Very nice indeed, your comments on the light are correct, it is a nuisance to say the least.
Good luck for your trip, it is a very special place.
I hope you are avoiding the Christmas holiday period

Thanks Ken. I will avoid the 'rush' since we will only go for the last week of November, around 8 nights.

I'd say go bw, but i do like the dust catching light.

Even with harsh light and not so interesting background subject pops out very well Morkel. Brilliant job.

Morkel - The dust does add to the image. I agree with Sid that despite the lighting conditions, you have made him pop nicely. Well done.

Nice pose captured here, and well processed, the dust makes it work. I like the textures and highlights in the lions mane. Good work here all around.
cheers

The dust definitely adds to the image, wish the tail was visible...

Hey Morkel,
I like the posture, placement, and the dust kicking up as mentioned. Agree also that the lion pops from the BG. Nicely done.
I Just returned from 14 nights in Kagalagadi. Thanks so much for your suggestions with the itinerary!! Lots of new springbok hitting the ground this last week. Yes, the north/south valleys are a challenge with light. It is genuine gem of a park.
