    Great use of the 2X. I would not have known by looking at the tern. Nice background, sharp, whites look good. Only wish I could see his feet. TFS

    This is the footless variety

    I chose this guy as the BG was nice and feather condition was nice. Also no other OOF birds in the picture so-to-speak. I waited a long time wanting him to step up on to the rock ledge on the right - it didn't happen.

    I do not regret getting the 2x.

    Excellent pose, details, bg and rocks. Agree about the feet, but there was nothing you could do about it. Love the catchlight.

    Excellent image. You carefully selected your subject and setting, waited for the perfect HA and it paid off. Too bad it didn't hop on top of the perch as you had hoped for, but still very nice work here.
