Theme: Black-headed Gulls, Inner Mongolia, China

Two black-headed gulls tussle for a spot in a small lake near Lake Dali in Inner Mongolia, China. I was there last month with some photographer friends from Beijing. From our tent on the shore, we had a front-row seat for this and much more action.

Great interaction with the adult looking up from a "hole" in the water. Shallow DOF from the 600 isolates the action nicely.

I like a lot, the BG is not perfect, but the overall image works great.

Sharp with very good details in the white, love the interaction between the two birds. Also like the environment shown here except for the OOF green strip across the top gull.
