Took this during my wood duck workshop with Studebaker at the Chagrin ponds, Ohio over a week ago. I liked the tranquil feel of this image, the water color, and the glimpse of the greenish leg.
This is about a 40% crop. Selective sharpening, NR, some work on bill including Highlight Recovery and cloning. Increased contrast a bit overall. Cloned out some water droplets on bird that looked funky.
I hope you like it. C & C very much appreciated.

Melissa, agreed that the water color is very nice and so is the exposure and pose. considering that the reflection is not very clear, lower angle, if posisble, would have been better.

I know, I thought of that too, Kaustubh, wish I had been lower. Thanks for the feedback.

Nice shot Melissa of this familiar visitor at North Chagrin, very cooperative American Coot we had. I like the head pose you capture here and the soft lighting as well. Good cropping as well.

Another nice image from the workshop, Melissa. Love the head angle, gives a sweetness to the photo.

Good one, Melissa. Lovely colors, detail, HA. Judging from your images, the workshop seems to be a winner.

    Melissa,
You did so well while here at N. Chagrin, Another beauty, Love these guys. I find them fun to photograph, The head angle, water color and gorgeous light really bodes well and makes this one special, The eye is so vivid and the overall image is well exposed. the composition and crop I think are great. So happy you included the reflection even though not strong still adds to the overall image.

Thanks to all for your kind comments. Arash, think you're right about the bill needing to be a bit whiter, I was overzealous in my cloning...
