Default Dewy Web Fract for Haloween

A dewy spider web from this summer at the lake. Handheld from canoe with my 80-400mm VR lens. This was a very large web - slightly larger than a dinner plate. Ran this image through Fractalius and then in Nik's Viveza I played around with the warmth and RGB sliders to get the background color...is it too much? Gotta go trick-or-treating tomorrow...I have a date with a Princess (my 4 year old a daughter Ava).

    Look forward to comments.

    Interesting image and application, Andrew.

Like the graphic effect of it.

Could use a blk frame, but ...

Andrew, It does have a graphic look to it. I usually like an off center comp. for these but this one works well as presented. Hope your daughter has fun.

Andrew, someday your going to have to share with me how you find and photograph spider webs! I like this effect...and the composition...I think it might have been cool to have a graduated color tone in the background, from the center out or maybe from the top edge..just a thought on a variation. Enjoy the day with your daughter! Those time are SO precious and pass ALL too soon!

Awesome web, Andrew! I'd vote to take just a tiny bit off the bottom to lower that center circle a bit more. I also think turning the yellow to a slightly more orange hue might add even more depth and contrast to the web itself. Very cool processing!!! You really made the web shine.
