This peregrine falcon had just finished off a breakfast of laughing gull. I cleaned up his beak, and cloned a few dark spots in the OOF background. All C&C welcome.

He is so cool . I love the walking pose as well as the leftover feathers. Great light and details.

    Hi,

I agree - a superb, detailed close image. I like the rather sad expression. I see the bird has a metal band on 1 leg - had it just been released, or was it relatively tame?

Can't begin to say how much I like this one. I saw a young one similarly close last spring, but he was standing in the gutter -- not so pretty to photograph. This is gorgeous, and extremely well done.

What a fine image. Love the remnants of the laughing gull in the lower right corner. Wondering about the beak cleanup....with the blood remnants on his feet, feathers, and full crop, might evidence of the meal have added to the story?

You make an excellent point, Grace. This evening, I'll post an image taken a few minutes earlier, which will tell more of the story

loved the low angle and pose. very nice details. You handled what looks like harsh light pretty well. well done. must have been quite thrilling, to say the least.
