I had placed peanuts in the branch hoping for the woodpecker but the Great tit got there first. The branch is a little heavy for the small bird but I liked the pose, he was defying another tit to come and sample his peanuts!
    All C & C welcome.

    Jonathan:

He is showing a lot of attitude here!

Well exposed, slightly oversharpened for my taste, others will like it.

I might be tempted to move him a sliver to the right.

    Nice clean BG.

    Cheers

Love the pose including the calling. Great detail and bg too. Tough call on the crop as the bird seems to be close to center but not the whole subject including the perch. I'd be tempted to move it a bit too or add some canvas to the left? Nice shot Jonathan

    Hi,

To me it looks a bit over-sharpened, and the light is harsh, but I like the open bill and overall pose. In a perfect world it would have been nice to be a bit lower to get more of a side-on view, but I know how hard it is to get any sharp picture of a Chickadee/ Tit, so well done.

very nice sharpness looks good to me, I wish he had chosen a smaller perch.

Thank you for the feedback. I am glad reference was made to the sharpening, I had some difficulty with this one. For some reason it required very little and every time I applied sharpening I got the impression it was too much, I backed off a little and settled for this version. It seems the camp is split so maybe that is not a bad thing

I've noted the others' observations on the largeness of the perch and the harsh light. To me, sharpening isn't a problem. I'd consider magic-wanding the brightest spots (mouth, cheek, and tail) and toning them down.
