I had a look Humberto. When they say "unlimited" they are referring to RAW, mirror-down at 12 fps. I don't think this refers to the in-camera buffer.
It found what the Canon rep. said interesting that the 1Dx right now is a "road map" of where the camera is going. He basically said it is still under development. If it were software, it's a beta release. This could mean that AF with f8 lenses (and other feature people want) could happen in the final released version.
To get 14fps you are "limited" to jpeg, mirror up. At 12fps these limits are off. But as said it does not necessarily mean unlimited number of images without the buffer filling up. This would have a lot to do with the speed of the CF card you are using.
