Shot this just about a year ago at the Tierra Verde ponds FL. The morning colors on this pond are great

Sorry. after looking at this again I realized i shot it at a local pond here in Trinity Fl. I was belly down about 3 feet from the edge of the pond to get it. A few days later I drove by and saw a man taking a picture...Of a 10 foot long Huge FAT GATOR!!!! Not far from where i was belly down. Not cool.

That sounds a little scary, keeps you on your toes I am sure. Nice comp here, like the placement of the lilly pads, beautiful light and the look back pose engages the viewer. Another nice one Cheryl.

Shows you how adventurous bird photography can be!! I like the pose, and the colours in the water. With the subject smallish in the frame I'd prefer it closer to the LRC (but not too close!), and I really wish the stuff in the water was not there but Iknow these types of extras can be hard to avoid...

Hi Daniel and i too like closer images. I only had my 1.4 on it and cropped some already. I thought maybe for something different? Thank you

I took your suggestion and like it better. Thanks. I am always hesitant to crop for loss of IQ but this was fine

Hi Cheryl, I like these images with 'smaller' subjects with oodles of space. With that, both posts work for me, and I like the colour of your water. Did I mention that you nailed a great pose here.

Very nice indeed, I love the colours and I think I prefer the original post, I feel the surroundings add something for me it looks a little special compared to the cropped image.

Real nice shot. I personally like the original. It's nice to see birds in their habitat. Great colors, excellent pose, and well composed.
    Well done.
