Hi All,
Also called as the Blue-winged Parakeet or the Bababudan Parrot .
Shot in Coorg,Karnataka, India on 24th October 2011.
Nikon D300s with 600 f/4,

Just after the rains...Full Frame,f/4,1/320 sec, Iso 640 -2/3 EV,Handheld shot from inside the jeep resting on the window.

Wonderful light and great IQ. I love the perch, and the long tail. That comp works for me. I could wish the head were turned a bit your way, and think the face could be lightened just a bit. Can't decide about the large white spot behind the bird. It seems it would be better to have the dark green behind, but the brighter area being large gives an ethereal look that I like. Love the fact that both feet are in view, and the left foot lifted. Terrific shot.
