    I really wanted to try and get something to show the changing of the seasons. This photo is from an urban park near the move of the Fraser River. There were two small clusters of trees that provided a bit of bg other wise it was buildings, lamp posts and and sidewalks. So light angle is not the best and completely down wings would have been nice as well.

    Nice exposure and detail ... agree with your self-critique.

    Might consider adding just a touch of blur to the BG.

    Nice detail and the whites look good. I like the messy feathers along the back of the wings - gives a sense of movement and the bird trying to slow down. I would try a NR on the BG or Blur which ever one works best.

    Nice in flight shot Dave. Agree with a little blur or NR on background to separate him a little more. maybe a second run of sharpening.
