I had to laugh at this aerobatic landing performance.

    Chris:

This is great fun. Looks more like a controlled crash than a landing!

Great colors, action, expression, and the feet clinch it.

    Tight but effective composition.

There has to be a greeting card in this one somewhere!

    Cheers

Chris, our EG's always seem to produce classic poses, and you have timed this one to perfection. Was your ss only 1/200, or is that a typo - tack sharp for that ss.

What a pose captured!! Sharp and well exposed, but the magic is the pose.

Congrats on a wonderful capture! Fantastic pose with perfect techs!

A bit tight for my taste ... wouldn't mind some more room all around.

Love everything about it -- great pose and perfect capture. I would only wish you would show more on the right, so we could see what horrendous obstacle he's about to hit!

    Chris,

What a pose, it makes me smile. These are not the most elegant of birds, was it still honking?

Thanks for all kind comments it's much appreciated.
I would have liked more room in the frame, however it almost landed on top of me hence the full frame cropped to a portrait .
