I took this in Wrightsviille Beach, North Carolina when the Black Skimmers were feeding their young. I tried positioning myself between where they were nesting, and the water and was able to capture them returning to their young with food.
Taken with the Canon 7D with Canon 300mm f/4 at 1/5000 and f/5 ISO 400 EV -2/3. This was hand held.
I developed using CS5 and ACR - cropped quite a bit. I used the noise reduction in ACR on sky, and enhanced the catch light in eye, although it was there. I played around with the sky luminance a bit in ACR and I'm afraid I may have muddied it up a bit.
Thanks,
Kevin

Not sure why but I was just told that my image is not appearing. It was 1000 on the long end and less than 200kb. I just went in to my post before, and I didn't see it either. But now when I went in again, it's there! In any case, I'll try and post it again after re-sizing to 900x600, and it's around 127kb. Hopefully it'll show - the pic is hosted on pBase in a public gallery, so I'm confused.
Thanks again,
Kevin
Thanks Jeff. I responded to you in a private message detailing the images details, its location, and the actual link I am including in the "link" dialog box. Thanks for looking.
Kevin.
Thanks for having a look Jeff. I'm posting a different version of the same picture here - maybe it'll work. If this picture ever DOES post, it's bound to be anti-climatic, I'm sure!
