My wife and I dedicated Sunday for duck shooting. We visited three locations in Toronto.
Saturday and Sunday are the best to go, as week days are a mess on HW 401.
This one was from Col. Sam. Park.
    Low angle was not possible.
    Thanks for looking.

    Karl:

Hooded mergansers are such fun, quite the characters.

Nice to get the hood up, and the whites there look good. Perhaps a bit hot on the breast.

Nice clean water. Looks like it might need just a smidge of CW rotation, but very close.

I like it, a duck outing!

    Cheers

Great catch of the Merganser with the hood up! I really love the hood and the head details. I think the body needs a bit of sharpening. I agree with Randy that the white breast looks a bit hot!

Great look at you by a fully alert Hoodie. Nice details and water, too. I might have put him just a little lower in the frame. Wish I knew of a spot to go on a Sunday outing (or any other day) to find one of these guys.

I love these guys too! Perfect HA for the body angled away. Good job on the exposure. I agree taking some off the bottom, and I would give the subject another round of sharpening.
