    Default Snowy Egret water walking

Shot this morning at Gilbert Water Ranch, Arizona. I was told that they drag their feet to keep the fish ahead of them and when the fish turn, the egret sees the flash and nabs the fish. It was working wonderfully today.

Really nice job framing the action, everything looks sharp and well focused.

The only things I would wish for is better light on the bird and a slight head turn toward you.

Love the BG colors too, very nice image.

Hi Roy. I really like the behavior you captured. Beautiful wingspread, and the warm colors in the background is very pleasing.

Thanks Joel, I knew the head police would be issuing me a summons.

    Roy,

The color is powerful and leveraged well in this pic. I also enjoy the information about dragging the feet, did not know that. Good work using gesture (body language) and color to set a mood and tell a story. I might take a layer off the top to help the color transition, a tad bit off the bottom (reduce reflection) and add some canvas on the right (or not crop so tight to get more of the wake). This is well done. I really like this one.

Roy, killer light, BG, colors, detail, wing position. Ok, the HA, but even with that being off a tad, this is a beauty! Congrats and TFS
