    Polar Bear, Hudson bay coast

We are having a blast up here, although the snow is on the light side. Good news in the forecast, snow is on the way.
It is amazing to see and photograph these bears at short distance on the ground, a far different experiance from the buggies.
The more time I spend around the bears at close proximity the more the myths continue to get dispelled. In a word this is Incredible.

    Chas,

This is a real beauty, the absence of snow does not bother me as it is nice to see them in a different habitat from the norm

Chas, I can only imagine the treat of getting to see these guys up close and personal. The small amount of snow does not detract from the image, but good luck getting more snow soon. I will look forward to the next in this series. I might have considered a square crop here to bring the viewer in closer to the subjects since I like the interaction between them. TFS and please post more soon.

Love seeing any pics of polar bears but neat to see them in different surroundings. Looks like they're just killing time until the snow and ice comes.

    Chas,
This is superb. I love this interaction and habitat. Did you trek? One day I would love to see and experience these magnificent creatures from such close distances in the wild. Photography is a bonus.

    Cheers,
    Sabyasachi
