Default A Flip Plus Other Elements

    Attached Images Attached Images

The original was a simple bench in front of a coffee house in NYC. I flipped the image and converted to B&W. I then brought back some color and blacked out areas I didn't want.
I thank Susan Candelario for the inspiration for this...
Topaz Detail was also used to bring out more detail and texture...

What a difference! Very nicely done. This is one of those images that's a perfect combination of B&W and color. I really like what happened to the new middle of the bench when you did the flip.

I very much like the Topaz plug-ins, but when I want added detail in a colored image, I convert it to a high-structure B&W in Nik Silver Efex and use the Luminosity blend mode. Seeing this may force me to seriously compare the two approaches.

I really like this, Dave. Nice flipping! I might suggest a support under the middle of that bench. If someone sits there, it's gonna be a problem

Very nice, Dave. That's certainly a cool looking flip and OOTB Very nice use of filters.

Nicely done, Dave...and I laughed when I read Maureen's comment...I hadn't thought of that when initially viewing the image! I might have liked just a BIT more color brought back in the image..but I really like the "flip". Nicely seen!

That is a cool flip, Dave. Nicely done! I like both images, but kind of favor the original more, maybe because there is just richer color. I think adding a bit more color to the flip version, as John suggests, might make it even better.

Very nice work Dave. That extra leg is a must as Maureen suggests
