    Default Starling

Yesterday it was a nice day to be out in the open for some photo's and I did . My first reason was to try to shoot some golden plover but the are still a little shy but it was already better then a day before so ......it can only be better the next days .
So I could make this one instead ( beter then nothing I think) These birds are commen here but the still be good looking fellows in mine opinion and very colorful don't you think?

    Willem:

I think they are very good looking birds, lots of interesting patterns, subtle colors.

Nicely exposed, like the view of the feet, good BG. Not the most flattering perch, but the lichens soften it a lot.

    Cheers

    Willem,

This is a very beautiful image and a beautiful bird. Well done, and your sharpening technique is very interesting (I'll have to try it).

Are these birds common in Holland? I've never seen one. I go to Holland a lot (4 times this year), mainly to Noordwijk and region around there.

    Roger,

thanks for the response on the Sterling. Yes these birds are very common here in Holland we cald them "Spreeuw" in summertime they the are almost totally black but in autumn the change in these wonderful colors.

When you are in holland you must give me a sign so I could show you perhaps some interesting spot here if your are intertest of course. Spring would be a good season for a bunch nice birds.

    Greetz Willem
