Our primary site for the San Diego IPT Good view form the road above.
Can see the photographers on the top shelf waiting for pelicans to land. With the right wind in the early morning light it is a magical place.
We normally start out close to the fence and move down as the morning progresses. Once a few pelicans land on the upper shelf we are able to move in. Can't see form this angle but all the way to the bottom on the far side there is a colony of sea-lions The add to the ambiance with their constant calling
At this time there is a controversy regarding this site Seems they want to keep photographers on the other side of the fence. If it happens photographing there will not be the same !!!
WOW, very impressive site. Wish I was there...Why did the water line come out slightly bent on the right hand side? How wide is the lens on your Point and Shoot Al?
When you look at this place from this angle, I kind of understand the safety issue of keeping people off of there. That's a huge cavern underneath were we shoot the pelicans. I hope we can continue to photograph from that spot.
What a great spot Alfred. I always wondered what it was like and it far surpasses anything I had thought. Just gorgeous and I hope you are able to continue going there.
