Some geese just dont know how to come in and land smoothly. If this goose was an aircraft, he would have burst the tyres. Taken at the University of Pretoria's sports ground at the end of last year in overcast conditions.

Neat landing pose, and from your description I can just picture it going down awkwardly! Nice splashing action, looks like the water was a little muddy I wish the darkish spot in the water behind the wing wasn't there, and although I'm OK with off-angle light direction I would have preferred it coming from the other side to light the face.
