    Hi Ken, this is one of the better crane images Ive seen, and I like the eye level perspective here. Shooting from a boat always helps. Good HA, and I like the overall colours in this. Well captured.

    Having only seen this species in captivity I really appreciate viewing a photo of one in the wild. Love the swooping nech feathers, and the grassy habitat looks great. If mine I'd eliminate what looks like a hovering dragonfly in front of the crane (as it doesn't add to the image IMO). Great colours and a good comp...well done!

    Ken, what a bird. loved the pose habitat and plumage. with respect to this light angle, you nailed the head turn. clean distant BG against the crest makes such a big difference.

    This is for me at least the most beautiful of our Southern African Cranes, it is such a pity I do not get too see them more often
