This photograph was taken at Blue Basin, Reelfoot Lake, Tennessee in the early morning of July 8, 2007. The fishing action of the graceful great egrets during a drought period and low water was very entertaining.

Hi Don and welcome to BPN.

You did well with the low angle. The contrast is very strong in the blacks, I also wish the wings was not touching the head. I really can't tell what's going on with the background as it looks like there is some kind of fading to it in the right top corner.

Like it as it is. Very nice exposure control and killer pose. Very good image.

    Hi Don,

On the negative side, wish for a different wing position and a head turn your way.

On the positive, gorgeous light, pose, control of whites and background.

    Oh, those feet..... :D

    A very good image, indeed.
The contrast is too strong for me, yet the bird has some blank white spots.
