    Michael,

What lens were you using in the past?

The water in the BG is nice and smooth and the little swells are nice. Looks sharp.
The lighting on the bird is from the side so there is a shadow, correctable with a quick mask or layer mask.

Nice image in soft light. This is a black-bellied plover rather than a willet. :)

BBP it is. WIsh you had a better light angle. They are very curious critters and if you stay still, they'll come to check you out :)

Hi Mike Trying to sidetrack me by showing the legs !!!!!! Not the best angle for this guys Your light angle was from the left so you got some shadows on the opposite side Would like brightening the image !!

For this species I like the side view to show the beautiful pattern on the wings In breeding plumage will go for the front view !!! ......thanks for the legs .... next time get some serious feet in there !!!!

Robert: i was using sigma 50-500 of just the 400 5.6L last year.

Al: I have some side shots too, but could not resist the legs so had to post it for you. the only action this afternoon was on the shoreline so you obviously know where the sun was ....:D

Will process more. thanks for the tips
