Picture taken this summer as I was walking on the beach of Cap Desrosiers in Gaspésie this summer. I was not sure about the composition. The foreground rocks were bugging me so I had to take a higher camera position. Then If I crop the bottom part, I loose room for the "virtual feet". What do you think??

    Rene,
Nice sharp image with excellent exposure, details & perfect HA. Wish for lower shooting angle. Maybe slight crop from the bottom helps to reduce the OOF stones distracting effect.

I love these little Plovers. I can certainly see your dilemma with the shooting angle, FG and BG. Bird nicely captured; hopefully you'll get another chance at them with more advantageous viewpoint.

Beautiful bird and very well exposed. The rocks in the FG don't work for me.

Lower shooting angle as you mentioned would have covered the legs.
The higher camera position works well on the bird but the OOF rocks in the foreground still don't look too good.
I guess it was a hard situation. Beauty bird non the less.
