American Bittern Flight
Osceola County, FL - Canon 1D Mark IV, 500mm+1.4xTC, hand held from boat, manual exposure, 1/1600, F5.6, ISO 400
An American Bittern in flight is not something I see often, so I was shocked when this one flew so close to me out of the blue. The image was made yesterday during a custom workshop.

Way to capitalize on a rare opportunity Jim! I like the way the Bittern's body line echoes the line of green at the bottom of the frame. I'm wondering if a slight contrast boost would give this a little more pop.

I also like the flight angle.
A very elusive bird to photograph, especially in flight, very nice.
