A group of the local wild horses living along the North Carolina coast as they feed on the tidal flats near Beaufort, NC. Canon 40D, Sigma 50-500mm, handheld from a kayak.
I love the light and the "line of horses" here, Bob...not to mention the low angle.
My immediate suggestions would be to tone down the highlights in the sky some as there's some cloud detail there that could improve this image if made more visible (see my previous comment on your other horse-image...there's a sticky thread at the top of the Wildlife Forum with some processing tips from Robert Amoruso). I also think the image could benefit from a slight CW (clockwise) rotation if you have the space to make it work in the original...
Bob - beautiful light and pov. The sky just doesn't do it for me and I would crop a fair bit unless you can bring out more as Morkel suggests. Did you take any horizontal shots?
I like the"simplicity" of this shot and the great positioning.
The only thing that bothers me, although not much, is the position of the leg to the left of the head, when I first looked it looked like a reaaly giant jaw.
